Budgeting

State law requires cities to adopt a budget in a specific way that includes citizen involvement. A good budget is the foundation of fiscal responsibility and provides a planning document for current and future years. The Oregon Department of Revenue has produced resources that will be helpful during budget preparation. A copy of the final approved budget must be retained permanently for public records.
