Enterprise Zones
In Oregon, enterprise zones exempt businesses from local property taxes on new investments for a specified amount of time. An enterprise zone is a way to direct economic development to a specific area within a city. Local governments are responsible for creating, amending, managing, and renewing most enterprise zones, until June 30, 2025. Cities that do not already have an enterprise zone are welcome to designate one at any time as long as they formally notify Business Oregon and wait 45 days after that notification to officially establish the enterprise zone.
