Ways and Means Statewide Roadshow Underway
In every long session, the legislative members of the state’s main budget committee, Joint Ways and Means, travel the state to hear from Oregonians on budget priorities. The co-chairs of the budget committee have released their budget priorities framework outlining available resources for the state budget. LOC members are encouraged to attend statewide events hosted by the committee and advocate for priorities that would benefit their city. The LOC has created a comprehensive list of budget asks that cities are welcome to uplift in alignment with their city’s need. These budget hearings are generally well attended so registering in advance is imperative.
