President Biden Signs Executive Order on FEMA Match
President Biden has signed an Executive Order that removes the 25% local match requirement for most COVID-related expenses eligible for reimbursement under the Stafford Act through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Of specific interest to cities, the instructions to FEMA allow for full reimbursement for purchases of PPE, and sanitation costs and expenses related to non-congregate sheltering. Please look for additional news on this topic in upcoming LOC Bulletins.
