OHA Releases FAQ on Vaccine Requirement
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has created an FAQ guide to help employers and employees understand the healthcare worker COVID vaccine requirement. The definition of “healthcare worker” is intentionally broad and will impact some city employees such as firefighters and paramedics. Additionally, employees that are certified as medical first responders will be subject to the requirement.
LOC staff expect additional guidance from the OHA, but the FAQ should answer some questions on applicability. Employees and volunteers who meet the definition of healthcare worker must be vaccinated by October 12.
