Energy Trust of Oregon Seeking Comment on Strategic Plan

The Energy Trust of Oregon's draft 2025-2030 Strategic Plan is now available for public comment through September 20. Comments can be submitted online. The draft plan was informed by input and feedback from interested parties, utilities, advisory councils, the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC), and customers.

Cities have been the recipients of grant awards through the Energy Trust and can provide a vital lens. For cities not within Energy Trust territory, there is still value in providing feedback.

Below are the focus areas identified in the plan:

  • Maximizing clean energy acquisition to help ensure future costs are as low as possible for customers and utilities;
  • Reducing the cost of decarbonization through energy efficiency and renewable energy resources, making the transition less costly and risky for utilities and customers;
  • Creating greater impact for priority customers by increasing participation and results for groups Energy Trust has historically underserved;
  • Motivating the next level of customer participation with strategies that appeal to customers who have not yet acted and re-engaging those who have previously participated in their programs; and
  • Supporting community resilience by working with local and state government agencies, utilities, Tribal governments, and others to incorporate clean energy solutions into community resilience efforts.

Comments can also be submitted on via email at info@energytrust.org; or by mail to Energy Trust of Oregon, Attention: Strategic Plan, 421 SW Oak St., Suite 300, Portland, OR 97204.
