City Testimony Needed to Stop Water Rights Bill
SB 427 would add public interest review on certificated water rights amendments and transfers, which would open cities and special districts to costly litigation.
The LOC is asking its members to submit written testimony opposing SB 427, which will likely receive a hearing on Tuesday, February 25 at 1 p.m. Once the bill is officially scheduled, cities can submit testimony.
The LOC’s coalition has submitted a letter in opposition to the bill. Please reach out to the LOC directly if you need additional information.
