The 2025 transportation package will require considerable effort and advocacy from all local governments.  The transportation package from the 2017 session created a historic level of investment, with more than $5.3 billion invested in transportation infrastructure, funding for transit expansion, and critical safety programs in communities.

For the 2025 legislative session, city leaders have an opportunity to influence the scale of the next transportation package with a good showing from local governments.  The LOC is asking those communities within the Region 1 ACT to participate in the public hearing and show up to support a robust transportation investment. There are 11 other stops in Oregon for other regions to participate in later this summer.  The LOC has prepared core messages to include in your comments.  Those messages can be found here.

Remember, you have proven that local government grassroots works!  It’s now time to push for a robust transportation package in 2025.
