2024 State Shared Revenue Report Now Available

Using state projections, the LOC has produced estimates of state shared revenues for cities to use when formulating their budgets.  The 2024 State Shared Revenue report is available here.  Cities are reminded that they must take necessary steps, including completing various required certifications and reports, to receive the revenues.  Those requirements are detailed in the online report.

Liquor revenues have rebounded following the 2021-2022 reduction and are projected to increase in the near-term future.

Meanwhile, Highway Trust Fund revenues are projected to stabilize following the sharp downturn during the pandemic and subsequent rebound.

Finally, marijuana revenues continue at their reduced level due to Measure 110 changes to the distribution of state marijuana tax revenues and the low price of marijuana due to the oversaturated market.

The LOC will continue to defend state shared revenue and advocate for increased revenue sharing.
