The City of Beaverton is seeking an Assistant City Attorney to support the City Attorney, other senior attorneys, and prosecutors in providing legal advice and representation to the city and its council, city manager, department heads, and staff related to specific services or functions as assigned.

This is a full-time, exempt, Management 2 (M2) position. There is one vacancy. The classification is Assistant City Attorney 1.

Minimum qualifications:

Law degree from a fully-accredited law school or an equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions of the position. Membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.

Licensing and special requirements:
Valid drivers’ license and the ability to meet the city’s driving standards; or an acceptable alternative means of transportation to attend work and meetings.
Ability to obtain Oregon Criminal Justice Information Services security clearance.
Ability to pass reference checks and education verification, and satisfy the requirements of a background check, including fingerprints.
Ability to satisfy the requirements of a pre-employment drug screen.
